The Great Lakes Accessible Information Technology (AIT) Initiative, within the Great Lakes Center, provides individuals and organizations with information and resources on Information Technology (IT) and its ease of use to the widest range of end users. We provide technical assistance, education, training, referrals, and materials to individuals and entities that seek information related to information technology accessibility.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Technical Assistance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Great Lakes Center operates a regional toll-free information line for answering questions about AIT and legal implications for IT as it is used to deliver services and information to the public. This includes but is not limited to coursework within an education-based settings, HR applications within the workplace, access to collections within libraries, delivery of services or the exchange of information with the public by government entities and e-commerce such as on-line shopping. The Center maintains a library of materials on accessible information technology and legislation providing opportunities for people with disabilities.
